A preliminary exploration of the intersection of the analog world with digital space, with a work in which the performative body is ensconced in a world of projection, light and sonic impact.
A single performer exists within a cube constructed of projection. They are tracked, with every movement affecting the visual and sonic world around them. Geometric beams, randomised patterns and outlines of their body form and reform. Sounds respond to and are manipulated by her movement – a language built upon the miniature of everyday movement, distilled to its essence.
An exploration of motion capture, dance and technical innovation.
Developed as part of the Co3 Contemporary Dance IN:House program, 2022.
